Health Profiles

Health Profiles provide a snapshot of health for each local council in England using key health indicators, which enables comparison locally, regionally and over time. They are designed to help local councils and the NHS decide where to target resources and tackle health inequalities in their local area.

Area Health Profiles

Health Profiles 2009 have been created for County Districts, London Boroughs, Unitary Authorities and Metropolitan Council Districts (green profiles) and Counties (lilac profiles).

Health Profiles 2009 for the Regions/Strategic Health Authorities (blue profiles) will be created later in the year.

County Level Atlas

The County Level interactive atlas allows users to select indicators and areas for comparison at the upper tier authority level and includes Counties, London Boroughs, Unitary Authorities and Metropolitan Council Districts.

District Level Atlas

The District Level interactive atlas allows users to select indicators and areas for comparison at lower tier authority level and includes County Districts, London Boroughs, Unitary Authorities and Metropolitan Council Districts.
