How to read the comparison charts?
Indicators and areas are sorted so that the better overall results appear at the top left and worse overall results at the bottom right of the table.
This is done in the following way: red, amber and green are each allocated a score (see below). These scores are added up for each area (i.e. row total) and each indicator (i.e. column total). The data are then sorted on row and column totals ascending.
Scoring:
1 = green - significantly better than England average
2 = amber - not significantly different from England average
3 = red - significantly worse than England average
4 = white - data unavailable or suppressed due to small numbers
