The report is an HIA of the Sacramento Safe Routes to School Program operating in the Natomas Unified School District established in two elementary schools and one middle school. A logic framework was established to illustrate the causal pathways and two major pathways were identified: physical health and pedestrian safety.

HIA and evaluation report of the Clark County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, Clark County Public Health (CCPH), 2010-2011. This was a rapid HIA of the Clark County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. The main aim was to provide meaningful input into the Master Plan process. The assessment estimates the impacts in terms of health benefits derived from increased opportunity for physical activity. In 2011, CCPH evaluated the role of HIA in the development and adoption of the Clark County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan that was adopted in November 2010.

Lake Oswego to Portland Transit Study Health Impact Assessment, conducted by Oregon Public Health Institute (OPHI) and Metro Regional Government, 2011. Health Impact Assessment (HIA) of Metro's Lake Oswego to Portland Transit Study. Transit Study was a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) evaluating the potential impacts of three different transit scenarios for the highway 43 corridor between downtown Lake Oswego and downtown Portland -- a no-build scenario, a street car scenario, and an enhanced bus service scenario. Metro completed the Transit Study in late 2010. The goal of the HIA is to evaluate the health impacts of these scenarios.

Nottingham City Council: Integrated Impact Assessment of LTP 3, 2010-2011. The Council has responded to UK and European legislation by conducting three assessments as part of the development of the Nottingham Local Transport Plan 2011- 2026 (LTP3):
• Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA);
• Equality Impact Assessment (EqIA);
• Health Impact Assessment (HIA).

To streamline these processes and to make sure that the links between the environmental, equality and health impacts of our future transport plans are identified, the City Council carried out a single Integrated Impact Assessment process (IIA) for LTP3.

The region has a chance to correct past oversights and approach the SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Project in a way that embraces the region’s commitment to providing a healthy community for all people. Transportation planners must make decisions that will support individuals and communities in making good healthy choices. This report presents the findings of the health impact assessment report and recommendations that can be incorporated into the mediation process and impact plan. These elements along with others discussed in this report would contribute to creating healthy communities for generations to come.
