  • KEYNOTES: The health of people in Tandridge is generally better than the England average. Life expectancy is high, and early deaths from cancer, and from heart disease and stroke, are lower than the national rates.
    There are health inequalities in Tandridge. Male life expectancy in more deprived areas of the district is lower than in less deprived areas.
    Over the last ten years, early deaths from cancer and from heart disease and stroke in the district have fallen.
    The teenage pregnancy rate and the percentage of mothers smoking in pregnancy are low. Breastfeeding initiation is high, as is the percentage of physically active children. While overall poverty in the district is low, over 1,400 children live in low income households.
