Resource Information
Description:
The Re-ablement project in Manchester is a 6 week free service for people over 18 who have lost their independence for a range of reasons. The MWIA was underatken to maximise mental wellbeing impacts and minimise negative impacts of the service on users and develop indicators of mental wellbeing. Recommendations focused on the need to promote: knowledge and understanding of the 24hour call line for nuisance neighbours for Older People; access to equipment and adaptations for people with physical limitations (in the home and outside); awareness of grants available to improve homes, and to improve street lighting for Older People and other vulnerable groups, and the need to continue to make grants available to improve homes and localities.
