About the HIA Gateway
The HIA gateway is intended to give you access to documents and information that will help you to understand, to do or to commission a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) or assessment of health consequences as part of some other impact assessment process.

To go to any part of the site click on the menu items down the left hand side of the screen.
To expand the menu click on any of the main sections in the menu (grey text). This will show the pages available (blue text) in that section.
Click on any page (blue text) in the menu to open that page.

The HIA gateway is part of the Network of Public Health Observatories. Clicking on "APHO" on the right of the purple bar across the top of the screen will take you to the main part of the Network of Public Health Observatories website.

Sections of the HIA gateway
The HIA gateway is divided into sections which are accessed through the menu on the left hand side of the screen.
This is the front page of the gateway and will contain recent news, news of new resources and so on. From this page you can also join the discussion email networks on HIA, HIANET, and the Mental Wellbeing Impact Assessment (MWIA) Knowledge Hub.
This section contains several pages giving a very brief introduction to HIA
This section contains reports from completed HIAs, Evaluations, SEAs and Other impact assessments. Drop down selection menus on the page allow you to select which type of reports you want to see, reports on particular topics or reports from particular regions.

Guides - How to do an HIA or consider health consequences as part of another impact assessment. For Introductory Guides on HIA select "Beginners' Guides".
