Updates

News 23 August 2012: We have released new local authority comparisons and also updated PCT comparisons for those indicators where it is not yet possible to generate local authority level data. The display tools have also been adjusted to both aid interpretation and offer more functionality, and 'Useful Links' have been thoroughly reviewed and updated.

The indicators will continue to be updated on an ongoing basis rather than at a fixed point in the year. Users can register for email alerts to receive notification of latest updates. Note that the aim of including the most recent indicators in the 'snapshot' display tools means that different time periods will be presented.

Where possible, the indicators will be updated at least annually, with archive data available in the Local Authority Data and Primary Care Trust Data sections. Note that the archive already includes some long-term trends for several PCT indicators.

There will inevitably be some delay between release of source data and construction of indicators for the display tools. The indicator descriptions provided in the LA Data and PCT Data sections will to some extent give an indication of frequency and timeliness of source data updates, and Useful links will also provide access to latest releases of public access data.
