Supporting PCT indicators

The supporting PCT indicators provide further information relating to the key indicators set and also additional indicators relating to wider determinants of sexual health. These have been combined with the key indicators in the display tool.

Note that some values may be suppressed due to small number disclosure constraints. Further details on the following indicators are provided either via the Indicator Guide, Download Data Tables or the icon to the left of the indicator name in the Display tools.

Percentage GUM clinic attendees seen after 10 working days
Percentage GUM clinic attendees did not attend first appointment

Awareness, Attitudes and Risk behaviour
Percentage age 12–13 uptake of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination first dose — a proxy indicator of parent attitudes to sexual health
Percentage age 12–15 viewing the information and advice they get on sex and relationships as 'good enough'
Percentage age 10–15 frequently misusing alcohol, drugs or volatile substances

Schools and Connexions Services
Percentage of schools with on-site sexual health services (LA partners)
Percentage age 16–19 mothers in education, employment or training (EET) where known to the Connexions service (LA partners)
Percentage age 16–19 mothers not known to the Connexions service (LA partners)
Percentage age 16&17 mothers not known to the Connexions service (LA partners)

Sexual Assaults
Rate of police recorded rape in women — to support the planned key indicator on percentage of women seen at Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs)

Other related factors
Percentage of pupils achieving 5 A*–C grade GCSEs including English and Maths
Index of Multiple Deprivation average score
